Good Morning, Cats. The Cats had an impressive start to December! Volleyball is Sweet 16 bound, men’s basketball won in overtime and track and field began its season with two records being broken.

🔼 Overtime Dub. The men’s basketball team beat Gonzaga in overtime 90-89. The men trailed by as many as 18 points but came back strong in the second half. Andrew Carr led the Cats with 19 points, and four other men hit double-digits.

🔼 Records Broken. The track and field team began its season at the Sharon Colyer-Danville Opener. Ed Bird broke the men’s 3000m school record with a time of 7:53.14. Collins Kiprop Kipngok set the freshman record in the 5000m with a time of 13:58.61.

Tonight’s Game. The women’s basketball team hosts Queens at 6 p.m. tonight. This is the first time the teams are playing each other in program history. Get your tickets here.

Sweet 16 Bound. The volleyball team beat Minnesota 3-1 to punch their ticket to the regional semifinals of the 2024 NCAA Championship. Emma Grome broke the program’s rally-scoring era for assists with 51. Brooklyn DeLeye led the team with 22 kills, and Erin Lamb was right behind with 13. The Cats will face No. 7 Missouri on Thursday at 1 p.m. ET. This is the 14th regional semifinal the team is playing at in program history.
