Landon Young Back in the Bluegrass for a Great Cause

Former Kentucky Football player and current New Orleans Saint Landon Young takes a tour of his old stomping grounds, Lafayette High School. He then joins Keith Farmer and Sierra Newton at God’s Pantry to talk about giving back to the community that gave so much to him.

🔼 Summer Fun. There are 11 Wildcats playing in the NBA Summer League, which is happening now! A total of 76 games will be played during the 11-day competition, with each team playing at least five games. You can watch the games on ESPN and NBA TV. Here’s the schedule.

🔼 Signed. Men’s basketball player Lamont Butler has signed with the Atlanta Hawks. Butler averaged 11.4 points, 4.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game last season. He scored in double figures in 14 games and made a career-high 33 points in the win over Louisville.

🔼 Anotha’ One. Men’s basketball player Jaxson Robinson agreed to a free-agent contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Robinson started in all 24 games in which he appeared in the 2024-25 season. He averaged 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

Big Bucks. Former men’s basketball player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has agreed to a four-year super maximum contract extension with the Thunder through 2030-31.

His $$$ million contract is the richest annual salary for a player in league history.

Keep ‘em Coming. Men’s basketball player Andrew Carr signed with the Portland Trail Blazers. Carr averaged 10.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in the 2024-25 season. He reached double figures in 21 games and connected on 54.5% from the field.
