🔼 Another One! The Golf Coaches Association named Alex Goff an All-American as part of the 2024 Division I PING All-America Teams. Goff is the program’s 11th All-American. He is one of 32 collegiate golfers across the country to be honored. Goff had nine top-15 finished and 23 rounds of par-or-better in his 11 starts this season.

🔼 Welcome! The swim and dive team welcomed Iván Sánchez as the newest assistant coach. Sánchez has been an assistant coach at Southern Illinois for the past six seasons. He’s also served as an assistant for the Mexico national team since 2023.

🔼 Day 1 Sweep. Kentucky track and field pole vaulter Keaton Daniel secured the first medal of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships for the team. He cleared 18’7.25.” He is the first Wildcat in program history to win both indoor and outdoor NCAA pole vault championships in the same season.

The men’s 4×100 relay team with Shavique Bascus, Clinton Muunga, Miles Jones and Kennedy Lightner finished in 11th with a time of 37.78. Lightner ran a 20.39 in the 200m for a 14th-place finish.

Leadership Role. The gymnastics team welcomes Raena Worley to its coaching staff! Worley will be an assistant coach. She spent five seasons with the Wildcats, becoming the second most decorated gymnast in program history. Worley was All-American 13 times, back-to-back AAI Award finalist, Honda Award Finalist and four-time All-Southeastern Conference honoree. She earned five perfect 10.0 marks during her last season.
