🔼 Watch Him. Men’s basketball player Milan Momcilovic was named to the Preseason Watch List for the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award and the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division I Player of the Year Preseason Watch List. The Julius Erving Award has been awarded to the top small forward in collegiate basketball. In UK’s three exhibition games this season, Momcilovic is leading the team with an average of 16.7 points per game.

🔼 Conference Honors. The men’s basketball team had two players named to Preseason All-SEC Teams. Milan Momcilovic was named to the Second Team and Malachi Moreno was named to the Third Team. Last season, Momcilovic scored in double figures 29 times, including 14 games with 20 or more points. His 136 made 3s ranked second all-time in Big 12 single-season history, while also setting an Iowa State program record. Moreno is back for his second season at Kentucky. He made 30 starts for the Wildcats and averaged 7.8 points per game along with a team-best 6.3 rebounds. He was an efficient 58.2% from the field while blocking 53 shots on the defensive end, leading the team in both metrics.
