📈 STOCK UP 

🔼 Big 5. The women’s basketball team beat Georgia 84-55. Five players scored in double figures. Georgia Amoore led the team with 21 points. Teonni Key had a double-double with 14 points and a career-high 14 rebounds. The Cats are now 20-4 overall and 9-3 in conference play.

🔼 Second Dub! The gymnastics team won its second meet of the season against Temple 197.175-194.200. The Cats extend their 197+ streak to three meets. They outscored the Owls on every apparatus and swept all five individual event titles for the second time this season.

🔼 Court Report. The men’s tennis team competed in the ITA National Indoor Championships. The Cats beat SMU 4-2. They won two doubles matches and three singles matches.

🔼 Wrapped Up. The softball team finished up at the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational. The Cats went 2-3 overall with wins over Wichita State and Clemson. Kentucky beat Wichita State 2-0, where Carson Fall earned her first career win. The women beat Clemson 7-6 with nine hits.

🔼 Season Opener. The baseball team opened its season against Lispcomb. The men won 11-0 and lost 1-3. Cole Hage had four hits and clubbed a three-run home run in game one. Ben Cleaver struck out five in 3.2 innings in game two. Game three of the series was canceled due to weather.

Starting Today. The men’s golf team starts competition at the Watersound Invitational today.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Two Meets. The track & field team competed at the Tiger Paw Invite and the David Hemery Valentine Invite. On day one, the men won the 500m. The Cats had three second-place finishes and 17 placements inside the top 10. On day two, Ed Bird broke his own program record in the 3000m final with a time of 7:51.38. Carli Makarawu moved from third to first on the UK all-time list in the men’s 200m.
