🔼 Status Report. The women’s basketball team played three games over the holiday break. The No. 11 Cats beat Hofstra 80-42 on Dec. 28. Clara Strack led the team with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Next, the women beat No. 5 LSU 80-78 on Jan. 1. Tonie Morgan hit a three-pointer with less than a second to play to win the game. Morgan scored a season-high 24 points and handed out 12 assists. Kentucky finished the holiday season with a 74-52 win over Missouri yesterday. Strack recorded her eighth double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Football Staff Changes. The football team welcomes Allen Brown as the new cornerbacks coach. Brown has experience coaching at five different colleges. He has coached nine all-conference defensive backs, two freshman All-Americans and two more All-American honorees. Brown coached at California in 2025. His defensive backs unit helped the Bears rank tied for 16th nationally in fewest touchdown passes allowed (14).
