🔼 It’s a Win! The football team beat Ohio 41-6 on Saturday. Demie Sumo-Karngbaye scored a pair of touchdowns. Brock Vandagriff had 237 passing yards. Maxwell Hairston scored on a 25-yard interception return. Barion Brown scored on a 23-yard rush. Gavin Wimsatt finished the game with a two-yard rush to the end zone.

🔼 White Wins! The swim and dive team kicked off its season with an intrasquad scrimmage on Friday. Team White claimed the victory 266-211 against Team Blue. See who the event winners were here.

🔼 Here’s the Low. The women’s golf team competed in the Mason Rudolph Championship, and Cathryn Brown stood out. Brown finished 11th individually with a score of 208 (-8). Her best round score was 66 (-6). Her scorecard tied for the fourth-best 18-hole output in program history.

⛳️ Here are the other golfer’s scores.

🔼 It’s a Draw. The men’s soccer team opened Sun Belt Conference play against Georgia Southern on Friday. The teams tied at 0-0. The all-time series between the two teams is now 2-1-2 UK.

🔼 Non-Conference Finale. The volleyball team fell to No. 2 Stanford 3-1 in its final non-conference game of the season. The Cats went 6-5 in non-conference play this season and begin conference play against Auburn on Friday.

🔼 Down One. The women’s soccer team lost its first game of the season to South Carolina 1-0. Both teams had eight shots in the match, with Kentucky leading 4-2 with shots on target.

Shining Six. There are six former Kentucky Wildcats who were inducted into the Lexington African-American Sports Hall of Fame. Sherry Bale Agee was a track and field star in 1976-78. C.B. Atkins was on the UK Board of Trustees. Tracye Davis played on the women’s basketball team, where she shined in her senior year in 1991. Winston Guy was drafted into the NFL in 2012. Michelle Williams-Johnson set records for track and field. Littleton Ward played 40 games on Kentucky football.
