๐Ÿ“ˆ STOCK UP

๐Ÿ”ผ What a Group! Four excellent Kentucky football players have been named to the Associated Press All-Southeastern Conference Teams. Ray Davis and Deone Walker were selected to the First Team, and Maxwell Hairston and Barion Brown were put on the Second Team. After a season of football, these guys were always in the news for making big plays and setting records and career highs.

For example, Davis became the first player in SEC history to have a 1,000-yard season at two league schools. He also has the fourth-most career rushing yards month active players in the NCAA FBS with 3,563.

๐Ÿ”ผ Winter Waters. Relaxing in a nice warm pool sounds amazing right now, especially for the swim and dive team who just put in a bunch of work at the Toyota U.S. Open and USA Diving Winter National Championships. Results are in from the two events, and Carson Hick stood out for the swim team as he placed 21st in the menโ€™s 1500m freestyle.

Our dive team took many top 10 spots, with the best being from Claire McDaniels, who placed second in the womenโ€™s platform qualifier and fourth in the 1-meter springboard qualifier.

๐Ÿค” BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Draft Picks. When it came to the USA Diving Nationals and Toyota U.S. Open, the whole swim and dive team wasn't able to come along. Head coach Bret Lundgaard was able to take a certain number of competitors to the events.

Todayโ€™s questionโ€” how many athletes did coach bring to the events?

๐Ÿ”ต ONE BIG THING

First for Sheppard. Following outstanding performances last week, Reed Sheppard has earned the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week honor. In the two games last week, Sheppard averaged 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals while shooting 56.7% from the field.
