Good morning. There’s a whoooooooole lot happening in Kentucky Athletics this weekend, hang out with us for a few minutes to see what’s going on!

What else are we mixing into today’s Brew?

🏀 In Aggieland
🏃‍♂️ Off and running
🔵 And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 At The Aggies. Kentucky men’s basketball is back out on the road this weekend, playing its second SEC road game at Texas A&M.

The Aggies have lost their first two SEC games against LSU and Auburn heading into this weekend’s matchup, but are 5-2 at home this year overall.

Kentucky is 11-4 all-time against Texas A&M and has won the last four matchups in the series.

🔼 Not Enough. Kentucky women’s basketball ran into a tough Vanderbilt team on Thursday night at Rupp Arena, losing 95-73 to the Commodores.

Despite the loss, Ajae Petty had a game to remember — the senior scored 23 points and pulled down 21 rebounds, the first Wildcat with a 20-20 game since Valerie Still in 1982.

🔼 Down On The Plains. A week after a trip to Vegas to take on three of the top teams in the country, Kentucky gymnastics takes a trip to the Plains to take on Auburn!

Speaking of last weekend in Vegas, the Wildcats claimed wins over two of those top teams — No. 6 Michigan and No. 11 Michigan State.

The Tigers were also in Vegas last weekend and took down No. 5 UCLA, but fell to No. 7 Cal and No. 8 Alabama.

🔼 Runners, On Your Mark. Kentucky track & field is back in the blocks for the first time in over a month this weekend, hosting the Rod McCravy Memorial in Louisville.

Field events begin at noon today with the men’s and women’s high jump, while the men’s and women’s 60 meters kicks off the track events at 3pm and 3:20pm, respectively.

🔼 Pool Party. It’s been 24 days since Kentucky swimming & diving has been in the pool competitively. Thankfully, that changes this weekend with Alabama in town to take on the Wildcats!

🔼 Tennis, Anyone? There’s a theme building here — Kentucky women’s tennis is also back in action this weekend, hosting ETSU and Miami (OH) to kick off its season!
