🔼 The Big 4-0. No better way to help us countdown to kickoff than throwing it back to one of the Wildcats’ all-time greats, #4️⃣0️⃣ Sonny Collins.
That’s right, we’re just 4️⃣0️⃣ days away ‘Cats fans!
Collins was a first-team All-SEC selection for three of his four letter years (1973, 1974 and 1975.
He is one of the all-time leading rushers at UK with 3,835 yards, 26 touchdowns, and a 4.9 yards per carry average. Collins has led in rush attempts (777), yards rushing (3,835), rushing touchdowns (26) and 100-yard rushing games (18). His best season came as a sophomore in 1973 with 1,213 yards and 13 touchdowns.

It may be the middle of summer, but it felt like March at the Coliseum over the weekend when La Familia, the UK alumni squad, pulled out two thrillers in the opening rounds of the TBT to advance to the round of 16.
On Sunday, it was Archie Goodwin who connected on back-to-back buckets to seal Sunday’s victory over the Auburn alumni squad.

🔼 Just Getting Started. After getting promoted to High-A Kannapolis over the weekend, former UK baseball standout Grant Smith didn’t waste any time getting started.
Smith roped his first affiliated base hit of his professional career on Saturday night.
The former ‘Cat played 37 games in the Arizona Complex League prior to his promotion, hitting .290 with three HRs and 22 RBIs.
