🔼 Double Down. Junior all-purpose player Barion Brown is a candidate for the Jet Award and the Hornung Award. The Jet Award recognizes college football’s top return specialist. The Hornung Award recognizes the most versatile player in college football. Brown had a nation-high three kickoff returns for touchdowns in 2023.

Helping Hand. Senior outside linebacker J.J. Weaver has been named one of the 11 nominees for the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy. The award recognizes the college football player who is inspired to serve others and make positive impacts on society through community service. Weaver founded “The Perfect Fit Support Group” and has spoken at many events about grieving.
