🔼 Best Of The Best. The men’s soccer team put up an incredible 15-1-5 last season and earned (a very well-deserved) No. 1 spot in the Sun Belt Conference preseason poll. Not only that but four athletes—Casper Grening, Casper Mols, Andrew Erickson, and Max Miller—were named for the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team.

Not to brag, but we will anyway. Casper Grening was also given the title of Offensive Preseason Player of the Year and Casper Mols received Defensive Preseason Player of the Year.

🔼 Hometown Star. Ain’t no one weaving past this guy because he can cover everything. J.J. Weaver is up for the Chuck Bednarik Award after his eight starts, 47 tackles, three sacks, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, and even a blocked kick.

The winner will be announced on December 7 on the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Second the best. J.J. Weaver could be the second Kentucky player ever to win the Chuck Bednarik Award. The first Kentucky winner was in 2018, but this player was a defensive end, emerging as one of the nation’s best pass rushers with 88 tackles and a single-season record 17 sacks.
