📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Three Stars. The Wildcats had a big win over Eastern Kentucky with three players touching foot in the end zone— Tayvion Robinson, Barion Brown, and Ray Davis. Robinson caught a 24-yard pass from Devin Leary in the second quarter to put Kentucky on the board and made another touchdown in the third quarter after catching a six-yard pass.

Barion Brown stepped foot in the end zone when he caught a 13-yard pass in the last minute of the third quarter. Ray Davis scored the final touchdown for the Cats in the fourth off of a 24-yard pass. Leary had a total of 299 yards, Robinson caught six passes for 136 yards, and Brown had two rushes for 34 yards.

🔼 Tight Matchup. Volleyball faced two opponents that are right next to them in the rankings— No. 21 Houston and No. 20 Purdue— and went 1-1. The Cats poured on the Cougars and won in four sets. Kentucky had eight aces, and Audrey Whitworth and Reagan Rutherford both accounted for three, while Emma Grome added two.

The women took Purdue all the way into five sets and even had to play extra points in the final set. Kentucky won the second and fourth sets and was hoping that win would carry over into the fifth, but their effort just wasn’t enough, and Purdue won the set 18-16. The Wildcats put up another eight aces and outnumbered Purdue in assists 61-54.
