📈 STOCK UP

🔼 New Cat. The men’s basketball team welcomes Brandon Garrison to the 2024-25 roster. Garrison is a 6’11” center who recently played at Oklahoma. He will have three seasons of eligibility at Kentucky. He played in 32 games with the Cowboys, starting in 29 of them. Garrison averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 blocks per game and shot a team-best of 57.2% from the floor.

🔼 Growing Staff. Women’s basketball head coach Kenny Brooks hired Will Sims as the new director of scouting and program analytics. Sims was formerly the Virginia Tech director of player personnel for women’s basketball. He spent two seasons in that role, helping the team to a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference championships and two NCAA Tournament berths.

🔼 Welcome! Football season is going to come faster than we know it, and we’ve already got a transfer coming to the 2024 roster. DJ Waller Jr. is a defensive back coming from Michigan. Waller will have three seasons of eligibility. In his one season at Michigan, he played in 11 games and had 47 tackles with 7.0 tackles for loss, one sack and one interception on defense.

Tourney Time. The men’s tennis team is headed to the NCAA Tournament. This is the tenth time the team received a bid under head coach Cedric Kauffmann.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

We’re In! The men’s tennis team received No. 5 seed for the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The men went 24-2 overall this season and will continue their journey as they take on DePaul on Friday, May 3, at 4 p.m. The tournament will take place at the Boone Tennis Center, and tickets are between $10-$15.
