🔼 Big Award. Freshman quarterback Stone Saunders was named the 2024 Maxwell Football Club’s Pennsylvania Player of the Year and the 40th winner of the Jim Henry Award. Saunders shattered every school record and state record during his four-year career at Bishop McDevitt High School. In his senior season alone, he threw for 3,577 yards and 48 touchdowns.

🔼 Top Five. The women’s golf team is in fourth place after 36 holes of the Paradise Invitational. The team has a score of 571 (-5) overall. Cathryn Brown and Karlie Campbell are tied for 11th individually with scores of (-3).

Remembering a Legend. Former Kentucky football player Herschel Turner has passed away. Turner was an All-America and All-Southeastern Conference lineman. He is also in the Kentucky Hall of Fame.

Top Tier. Two more former men’s basketball players were named NBA All-Stars. Anthony Davis and Tyler Herro were selected as reserves for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Karl-Anthony Towns were named starters for the game. The event will be on Feb. 16. There will be a mini-tournament with four teams and three games.
