🔼 On Top. The men’s basketball team beat Western Kentucky 87-68. Andrew Carr and Otega Oweh led the team with 18 points each. Carr also had 10 rebounds for a double-double. The Cats are now 6-0 this season.

🔼 Play The Music. The women’s basketball team beat Arizona State 77-61 in the Music City Classic. Clara Strack led the team with a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Georgia Amoore was right behind with 20 points and nine assists. Kentucky plays its second game of the Music City Classic tonight against No. 19 Illinois.

🔼 Finalist. In his second season as a Wildcat, kicker Alex Raynor has been named a finalist for the 33rd Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award. Raynor set a school record of 18 consecutive field goals that ranked as the sixth-longest such streak in the Southeastern Conference history. He owns the career field goal percentage mark at Kentucky at .926 (25-of-27). Raynor set the school record for longest field goal with a 55-yarder vs. Georgia.

Winner!! For his passion for giving back, outside linebacker J.J. Weaver has been named the winner of the 12th annual Freddie Solomon Community Spirit Award. Weaver is an outspoken advocate for mental health and counseling. He helped “The Perfect Fit Support Group” receive a $40,000 grant.
