🔼 Slug Fest. The baseball team was hot at the plate in its 17-13 victory over Louisville. Ryan Waldschmidt drove in six runs, and Ryan Nicholson drove in three. Waldschmidt went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double, a walk and a hit-by-pitch. Nicholson went 3-for-4 with a home run and two walks.

🔼 New Staff Member. Women’s basketball head coach Kenny Brooks hired Tim Clark as special assistant chief of staff. Clark was formerly at Virginia Tech as the senior director and chief of staff. He has worked with Brooks for 19 seasons and has experience as director of operations.

Weekly Honors. One men’s tennis player was named SEC Freshman of the Week. This athlete won in both singles and doubles matches against No. 6 Tennessee. He and his partner Taha Baadi had two ranked doubles wins last weekend.

We Know Them! Kentucky men’s basketball has produced many outstanding athletes throughout program history. In 2024, Kentucky leads the nation with 22 former players set to participate in the 2024 NBA Playoffs. There are 22 teams competing in the playoffs, and 13 of them have former Cats.
