🔼 Sweet 16. I know what you’re thinking, and no, this isn’t basketball or birthday-related. It’s bigger than that. Senior Erin Coffel is headed to Chile to play with the USA Softball team in the 2023 Pan Am Games in the fall.

The reason this is extra cool is because she's the only active NCAA collegiate athlete on the 16-person roster. Coffel is a slugger with 19 bombs, hits a .440, has 55 hits, and has 60 runs scored.

You can catch Coffel on the diamond starting Oct. 30.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Without a worry. Now that Erin Coffel has Team USA to practice and play with this fall, she may miss some of Kentucky's fall games. Looking at last season's fall schedule, the girls didn’t seem to struggle that much with the opponents.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

All Adding Up. Did someone order a Wendy’s 4 for $4? Kentucky soccer just won its fourth game, 4-0, against UT Martin.

Jordyn Rhodes scored in the first half off a header, and Taya Hjorth started the second half with her first career goal. Mia Bookhard caught the goalie lacking on the left side, and Katelyn Fishnick got her on the right.

The Wildcats finished the game with 24 shots and nine shots on goal. Soccer will look for another home match win on Sunday, Sept. 3, against Illinois at 1 p.m.
