🔼 Came, Saw, Conquered. Outside linebacker Sam Greene was named a Comeback Player of the Week by the College Sports Communicators. He made five tackles against LSU, including 1.5 sacks. Greene has had a great start to the season after spending much of his offseason rehabilitating from a major knee injury that landed him on the preseason comeback player of the year award watch list. So far this season, Greene has totaled 22 tackles, two tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception, one pass breakup and one quarterback hurry.

🔼 Welcome! The men’s basketball team hired two new staff members. Alfred Aboya will be an assistant coach. He recently was the head coach at NBA Academy Africa and the head coach of the Cameroon National Men’s Basketball Team. John Pelphrey will be the Director of Player Development. He is a former Cat who played for the men’s basketball program from 1988-1992. He recently was the head coach at Tennessee Tech for seven seasons.
