🔼 He’s Ranked! Defensive tackle Deone Walker is ranked No. 21 in the ESPN top 25 midseason player rankings. Walker made 17.5 tackles at or behind the line in 2023 and has nine career sacks. He made a tackle on 12.1% of his snaps. This year, he has 20 total tackles, six solo and .5 sacks.

Frontcourt Force. The men’s basketball team is preparing for season. Head coach Mark Pope is building a strong frontcourt with Brandon Garrison and Amari Williams. Garrison is a 6’10” sophomore who played in 32 games with Oklahoma last season. He averaged 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He was fifth in the Big 12 with 1.47 blocks per game. Williams earned Coastal Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Year for three consecutive seasons. He led the CAA in blocks in all three of those seasons, and last year, he averaged 12.2. points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.
