Another Watch List for Strack

Women’s basketball player Clara Strack was named to another watch list. Strack’s name is on the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Preseason Top 20 Watch List. She was a top-10 finalist for the honor in 2024-25. Click here to read more about Strack and the award.

🔼 First Win. The No. 24/20 women’s basketball team opened the 2025-26 season with a home victory over Morehead State. Four players reached double figures. Tonie Morgan led the women with 16 points. Clara Strack and Jordan Obi each had a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Amelia Hassett had 10 points. The Cats held Morehead State to under 20 points in each quarter.

🔼 Top 20. Men’s basketball player Jayden Quaintance was named to the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award watch list. There are 20 candidates on the watch list. Quaintance is a sophomore this year. He spent his freshman season at Arizona State, where he started all 24 games, averaged 9.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 1.5 assists per game.

Watch List. Football player Tavion Gadson has been named to the 2025 Comeback Player of the Year Award Watch List. There are 52 players on the watch list. Gadson was forced to miss eight games in 2024 after suffering a knee injury. This season, he has 23 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and a quarterback hurry through seven games.
