🔼 First Dub. The baseball team had a huge win in Omaha at the College World Series. The Cats beat N.C. State 5-4 and had three home runs. Ryan Nicholson hit a home run in the ninth inning to tie the game 4-4. Mitchell Daly hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the tenth to win the game. The Cats will play Texas A&M tonight at 7 p.m. ET.

Selected! Rising junior defensive lineman Deone Walker has been selected to the Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List. Walker is one of 42 student-athletes and one of 13 defensive linemen to be picked. The trophy is the only major college football award that considers character. It is awarded to the player who’s had the biggest impact on his team, both on and off the field. IMPACT stands for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
Walker is a 6’6,” 348-pound defensive lineman who led Kentucky with 12.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 quarterback sacks, and eight quarterback hurries. He was one of seven team captains last season and started in all 13 games.
