🔼 Feeling it Out. The women’s basketball team played its first exhibition game of the season against Kentucky State and came out with an 88-71 win. Even though it’s a dub in the books, head coach Kyra Elzy says there is still a lot she wants to clean up. The team shot 54.2% on field goals with 56 points in the paint, and made three three-pointers. Ajae Petty stood out on the court with 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds.
🔼 Stick To It. The football team is preparing to face Mississippi State this weekend, and even though it’s a different team, the offense is sticking to the same process. Offensive coordinator Liam Coen likes what the team has been able to do but wants to see more balance between the run and pass game. He acknowledges how tough and unusual the Bulldog defense is going to be this week and hopes the team will play hard.

🔵 ONE BIG THING
🔼 Weekly Honors. The men’s soccer team racked up three weekly honors as they finished up the regular season. Marqes Muir was named Defensive Player of the Week by the Sun Belt Conference. Head Coach Johan Cedergren likes his quick decision-making and aggressiveness. Casper Mols was named to College Soccer News Team of the Week and Max Miller to TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week. Mols had eight saves against No. 2 West Virginia, and Miller leads the Wildcats with six assists in the season.
