Honored Once Again

Women’s tennis player Zoe Hammond was named the 2026 SEC Women’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year. This is her second time earning the honor. Hammond graduated with a 4.0 grade-point average in Economics, becoming the only student-athlete in 2025 recognized as an Academic All-American to achieve a perfect GPA.

🔼 Day 1. The track and field team competed in day one of the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational. Julia Gunnell posted a pair of personal bests in the 100m hurdles and high jump events. She finished third in each event. Dahlia Beasley posted a personal record in shot put with a final mark of 10.68m.

🔼 Wrapped Up. Gymnasts who competed as individuals at the NCAA Championships wrapped up their events on Thursday. Creslyn Brose finished ninth on the floor in Semifinal II and claimed a share of 16th place overall. Delaynee Rodriguez tied for 17th on the beam overall.

🔼 Tourney Recap. The No. 11 -seeded men’s tennis team fell to No. 12-ranked and No. 6-seeded Georgia in the SEC Championship. The men won two singles matches, but it wasn’t enough, and fell 4-2. Kentucky will await its NCAA Tournament fate until the Selection Show on Monday, April 27.

Conference Honors.

The men’s swim and dive team had # Cats receive All-SEC Honors.

🔼 Fresh Moves. Men’s golfer Cole Stockard was named the SEC Freshman of the Week. Stockard has two victories this season. He is the first Kentucky men’s golfer to win twice in a year since the 2003-04 season.
