🔼 Remembering Him. Our community has suffered a tragic loss with the death of one of our students, Nic Smith. Nic was a sophomore in the Community Leadership and Development program in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, and one of our student athletes on the UK Football team. We want to remind members of our community that you do not have to navigate this loss alone, and that support resources are available through the Office for Student Success.

🔵 ONE BIG THING
🔼 Top Tier. Track and field athlete Kemarah Howard was named the SEC Women’s Freshman Field Athlete of the Year. This marks her first SEC honor. She is one of 22 individual qualifiers who punched their ticket to Eugene. Howard set a new UK women’s indoor and outdoor freshman record in route to an incredible freshman season in Lexington. Heading into the final week of the collegiate season, she ranks in a three-way tie for second in the national women’s high jump rankings with her season-best mark of 1.90m/6-2.75.
