🔼 Day 2. The track and field team competed in day two of the Texas Relays. Janet Jepkemboi Amimo won the first 800m race of her season. Julia Gunnell finished third in the 800m. She finished the heptathlon in third place with a personal best and No. 4 UK All-Time record of 5514 points. Dahlia Beasley took fourth in the women’s long jump.

Remembering Him. Former UK track and field athlete Pat Etcheberry passed away at the age of 82. Etcheberry was a student-athlete, an assistant coach, a head coach and the strength and conditioning coach at Kentucky over 26 years.

TONIGHT! The NCAA Lexington Regionals are tonight! Students get in free, and the general public can purchase tickets here. The Cats will compete at 7pm ET against Oklahoma, Ohio State and Rutgers. The Regional Final will be on Sunday at 5pm ET. The top two teams of the finals will go to the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships in Texas from April 16-18.
