🔼 One Down. Kentucky demolished Ball State with a 44-14 win, scoring double digits in two quarters. Ray Davis started and ended the game with touchdowns after a two-yard rush in the second and a 30-yard rush in the fourth.

The two biggest scoring plays of the game came from Jalen Geiger returning a fumble 69 yards for a touchdown and Barion Brown returning a kickoff for a 99-yard run to the end zone.

Dane Key added a five-yard touchdown, and Alex Raynor kicked a total of 14 points, including 3-of-3 on field goals.

🔼 Senior Day Win: UK women’s soccer improved its record to 4-0-1 with a 1-0 win over Illinois on Senior Day. Quite appropriate that the game-winning goal came off the foot of senior Jordyn Rhodes, while senior goalkeeper Marzia Stephenson stopped seven shots to provide a shutout.

🔼 Court Side. Ever want to sit in the lowest sections inside Wells Fargo Center? Your chance is now because Kentucky men’s basketball plays Penn on Dec. 9 at noon ET in the home of the Philadelphia 76ers. Tickets go on sale Thursday, Sept. 7, but if you can’t make it to the game, it will be televised on ESPN2.

🔼 Ahoy Captain. Swim and dive announced the 2023-2024 men and women captains, and there are a total of seven: seniors Sofie Davis, Bridget Engel, Tori Orcutt, Claire McDaniels, Zane Rosely, Sam Duncan, and junior Nick Caruso.
