📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Double-Digit Deal. The women’s basketball team won its second game of the season against USC-Upstate with a 74-66 final score. The best part? All five starters— Brooklynn Miles, Saniah Tayler, Ajae Petty, Amiya Jenkins, and Maddie Scherr— scored in the double digits. Also, the Cats started the game with a 17-0 run. Petty led the team with 19 points and nine rebounds.

🔼 Bid Day. The men’s soccer team just awarded an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Also joining the tournament from the Sun Belt Conference are Marshall, West Virginia, UCF, and James Madison. The Cats are set to play on Thursday against Xavier, who went 4-1-3 in the Big East Conference. Keep updated on the schedule for times and where to watch.

🔼 Closing a Chapter. The cross country team ran in its final competition this past weekend. The men and women competed in the NCAA Southeast Regionals and took 14th and 17th place. Jake Allen led the men with his personal record time of 29:58.0 in the 10k. The women were led by Ally Kruger, with a time of 20:57.0 in the 6k. Many of the cross country athletes will be competing in the track and field season, so stay tuned for those meets.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Throwback Tuesday. Since the soccer regular season is finished and the men just earned conference honors (scroll below to see!), let's take a look back at Ben Damge’s season. He played a total of 18 matches and had 18 shots.

Today’s question— how many of his shots were on goal?

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Prominent Pair. Goalie Casper Mols and forward Ben Damge were named to the 2023 Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team after a hard-fought season. Mols had 16 starts this season, recording 59 saves and six shutouts. This is Damge’s first conference award of the season, and it’s well deserved after his game-winning goal in the quarterfinal match against James Madison. He started in 11 of the 18 matches he played and had two goals, each of them being game-winning.
