Good morning. We had some huge wins this past weekend for volleyball and men’s soccer. Kentucky volleyball is now ranked No. 1 in the SEC, and men’s soccer upset No. 1 Marshall in a 2-0 win. Find out more about the matches below.

📈 STOCK UP 

🔼 Pink and Pretty. Kentucky volleyball beat Mississippi State in a 3-0 shutout, and Megan Wilson was the star of the game. Wilson led the team with 14 kills, and Reagan Rutherford and Azhani Tealer both had 10 kills. The Wildcats added pink accents to their uniforms to support breast cancer awareness.

At the Arkansas game, fans dressed up in their costumes for the Halloween game. The Wildcats beat the Hogs in a long and competitive five sets, and Eleanor Beavin got a career-high 30 digs. Brooklyn DeLeye had 17 kills, and Rutherford and Elise Goetzinger both had 14 kills. Kentucky sits at 10-7 overall and 8-1 in conference play.

🔼 Upset Alert! The men’s soccer team just beat No. 1 ranked Marshall. The Wildcats scored two goals in the first period to take the victory. Mason Visconti made both goals with a penalty kick goal, and Aboubacar Camara assisted him in the second goal. Goalie Casper Mols made four saves to keep the game a shutout.

🔼 Blue All the Way. Men’s basketball had the annual Blue-White Game, and team Blue dominated the court. The leading scorer? Rob Dillingham. He put up 40 points to lead Blue to a 100-89 victory. Dillingham also had seven assists, five rebounds, and four steals. Adou Theiro had 26 points, and Jordan Burks had 20 points for the Blue team.

For the White team, freshman Justin Edwards led with 26 points and 10 rebounds. D.J. Wagner had 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Tre Mitchell hit a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

🔼 One and Done. It just took one goal from Úlfa Úlfarsdóttir in the first six minutes of the game to win it for the Wildcats. Kentucky women’s soccer beat Missouri 1-0 and moved up to 13 points in SEC play, the most for the program since 2014.

🔼 Spook-tacular Win. Before we get into game details, let’s take a second to appreciate the beautiful artwork done on the field for softball's Big Blue Boo game. The Wildcats got to home in the first inning after Rylea Smith singled up the middle, and a runner on second made it to home plate. Alexia Lacatena had a solo home run, and Cassie Reasner had a two-run home run to make the score 4-0 in the sixth inning. Miami (OH) was able to get two runs in the seventh, but the Cats took the win 4-2.
