🔼 Well Played. We have more amazing news following men’s soccer upsetting No. 1 Marshall. Freshman Josh Gordon was named Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week after playing a pivotal role in the back line. Gordon is aggressive when attacking opposing offenders and helped the Wildcats shut out Marshall 2-0.

🔼 Goody Two-Shoes. Good things come in two, and that’s what men’s basketball is bringing to the table for us today. Justin Edwards and Antonio Reeves were both named to preseason watch lists.

Edwards was named to the 2024 Julius Erving Award watch list for being the best small forward in college basketball. He is a man to have your eyes on because he was also tabbed a first-team All-Southeastern Conference preseason pick last week.

Reeves is on the 2024 Jerry West Award watch list for the second season in a row. He is one of 20 athletes on the list for being the best shooting guard. Reeves is UK’s leading returning scorer and the reigning Co-Southeastern Conference Sixth Man of the Year.

🔼 Beach Trip. Two skilled women from the tennis team are headed to San Diego for the ITA Fall National Championships. Ellie Eades and Lidia Gonzalez are the great doubles duo who made it to the final round in doubles play last weekend. They also had a big run in the ITA DI Women’s Ohio Valley Regional. Make sure to follow their journey starting on Nov. 1 through the team’s Twitter account.
