Setter of the Week

Freshman setter Kassie O’Brien was named the Southeastern Conference Setter of the Week. She had 40 assists in her first-career SEC match and followed with 34 against Georgia. Click here to learn more about O’Brien.

The award focuses primarily on a player’s leadership both on and off the field. Kattus is a three-year letter winner and has been elected a game captain twice this season.

Honored. Women’s soccer defender Gabi Poretto was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week. Poretto scored the game-winning goal in Kentucky’s upset victory over No. 25 Alabama on Friday. Poretto now leads the team with three game-winning goals in 2025 and currently ranks fourth all-time in the Kentucky Freshman record book, one GWG shy of matching the Kentucky freshman record.
