🔼 National Honor. The United States Basketball Writers Association named Clara Strack an Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Week. Strack scored a career-high 25 points and was named the Most Valuable Player in the Music City Classic.

🔼 Up & Down. The men’s basketball team lost its first game of the season against Clemson 70-66. The score was tight as the Cats and Tigers switched off taking the lead throughout the whole game.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Finalist. Tight end Josh Kattus has been named one of the four finalists for the 15th annual Pop Warner College Football Award. Kattus has played in 33 career games for Kentucky, started in 15, has 21 catches for 310 yards and five touchdowns. He is a communications major and three-time Dean’s List Honoree. Kattus also volunteers at the Kentucky Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and Scott County Humane Society.
