🔼 Tourney Takeoff. The men blasted past Xavier with a 2-0 win to advance to game two of the NCAA Tournament. The man of the game was Ben Damge, who scored both goals. His first came at 25:12 and the second at 67:50. Casper Mols and the defense stopped seven of Xavier’s goals for Mols’ seventh shutout of the season. This is Kentucky’s fifth consecutive second-round appearance.
🔼 Sweet 16. Kentucky volleyball won its 16th game of the season against Texas A&M to put them at 16-7 overall and 14-1 in conference. The women won 3-1 for their 13th straight victory, the second-longest active win streak in the country. Four players— Brooklyn DeLeye, Elise Goetzinger, Erin Lamb, and Azhani Tealer— were in the double digits for kills. Kentucky now has a one-match lead over Arkansas in the conference.
🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA
Excellent Emma. There are just a few matches left for volleyball in the regular season, and Emma Grome is making the most of it. So far, Grome has been named SEC Setter of the Week and SEC Player of the Week three times and sits first in the NCAA with 12 assists per set.
Today’s question— How many times has Grome been named SEC Setter of the Week?

🔵 ONE BIG THING
Back on the Field. The football team is set to take on South Carolina tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. ET, and there are two areas where coaches want to see improvement. First, the rushing attack. The men had a huge 329 yards against Florida, but they haven’t matched that going forward. Head coach Mark Stoops wants the team to be more physical and “get back to point of attack.”
Second, is the defense. Defensive coordinator Brad White wants to see the team pressure the quarterback, play tight coverage, and play complementary football when it comes to coverage and pass rush. Winning one-on-ones is the focal point for White for this weekend.
