🔼 Kickoff Week Is Here. It’s been a grueling eight months of waiting. Kickoff week is finally HERE!

That’s right, the Cats hit the gridiron this Saturday at Kroger Field with a much anticipated 2024 season ahead!

Kickoff on the SEC Network is set for 7:45 pm with Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers and Cole Cubelic calling the action. The game also will be aired on the UK Sports Radio Network with Tom Leach, Jeff Piecoro and Dick Gabriel.

🔼 Connect Four. Who doesn’t love a little game of Connect Four?

Well, apparently, the UK women’s soccer squad does because that’s exactly what the Cats played on Sunday, bursting out the offense with a 4-1 victory over previously unbeaten Jacksonville State to move to a perfect 4-0 on the season.

Veteran forward Maddie Kemp fired home two goals, while Mia Bookhard and Makala Woods all found the back of the net in the victory.

UK has now outscored its opponents by a tally of 10-1 so far this season.

🔼 A Six Pack Of Cats. Late last week, the UK football program had six student-athletes earn Preseason All-SEC accolades.

Juniors Barion Brown (return specialist), Maxwell Hairston and Deone Walker were named to the first team, while senior offensive linemen Eli Cox and Marques Cox were tabbed on the third team.

Senior inside linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson also earned a nod on the third team, along with Brown as an all-purpose player.

🔼 New York State Of Mind. For the second time this year, former UK standout Gabriel Diallo is part of a Grand Slam event.

Earlier this year, the former three-time All-American earned a main draw spot at Roland Garros. Last week, he battled his way to three victories at US Open qualifying and will open up play tomorrow afternoon as part of the main draw in Flushing Meadows.

🎙 BACK ON THE MIC

There’s no better way to get ready for the kickoff of the 2024 season than hearing it straight from Coach Stoops!

That’s right, the weekly UK HealthCare Mark Stoops Show returns to the airwaves TONIGHT from 6-7 pm.

A live video stream of The UK HealthCare Mark Stoops Show also will be available on UKathletics.com and on the official Kentucky Football Facebook page.

The UK HealthCare Mark Stoops Show is hosted by The Voice of the Wildcats, Tom Leach. Fans will have the opportunity to ask Coach Stoops questions via Twitter at @UKSportsNetwork or by calling 1-800-606-GAME (4263) or 859-280-2287 (CATS).
