Lexington Football Week

Head Coach Mark Stoops joined Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton, Lexington football coaches and legendary Wildcats in Kroger Field to kick off “Lexington Football Week.” Part of the city’s 250th anniversary celebration, the week will highlight Lexington’s football history and the athletes who have represented the city.

🔼 Adjusting. Head coach Mark Stoops is looking to change the narrative this season. The Cats face Toledo on Saturday to kick off the 2025 season. Stoops believes this is the game to “showcase what we’ve been working on.” Coach announced that Zach Calzada will be the starting quarterback and Cutter Boley will be the backup.

Ranked! The women’s tennis team has two ranked players on the 2025 roster. Zoe Hammond is No. 20 in the ITA Preseason Singles Ranking, and Julia Zhu is No. 57. Both Cats will compete in singles and doubles play alongside the rest of the team this fall.
