🔼 Strong Start. The No. 14 women’s basketball team beat Morehead State 85-42 in its season opener on Monday. Six Cats recorded double-digit points. Clara Strack led the team with 17 points. Ajsa Sivka, Diana Collins and Maddyn Greenway followed, each tallying 12 points. Me’Arah O’Neal and Emily McDonald had 10 points each. The Cats shot 44.7% from the field.
🔼 Preseason Honor. Men’s basketball player Malachi Moreno was named to the 2026-27 Naismith Starting 5 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Top 20 Preseason Watch List. The prestigious award has annually honored the best centers in men’s college basketball since 2015. Moreno is back for his second season at Kentucky after making 30 starts last season, averaging 7.8 points per game and a team best 6.3 rebounds per game.
Tourney Time. The women’s soccer team beating No. 20 Arkansas earned them a first-round bye in the SEC Tournament!
The No. 4 seed Cats will play the winner of No. 5 seed Arkansas or No. 12 seed Florida on what day?
