🔼 Selected. Men’s basketball player Otega Oweh was named the SEC Preseason Player of the Year. He was also named to the Preseason All-SEC First Team. Oweh led the Cats in scoring at 16.2 points per game and 57 steals last season.
🔼 Preseason Honor. Women’s basketball player Clara Strack was picked to the Preseason All-SEC Second team. Strack started in all 31 games last season. She averaged 15.4 points per game, 9.7 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game, 2.4 blocks pr game and 0.8 steals per game. She set Kentucky’s single-season school records in both blocks (73) and blocks per game (2.4).
