Good Morning, Wildcats. IT’S TOURNEY TIME! The women’s basketball team was selected as a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Championship. The Cats will face No. 12 seed James Madison. The men’s basketball team was selected as a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Kentucky will face No. 10 Santa Clara.

🔼 Won the Series. The baseball team won its series against Alabama. Kentucky won 7-4 on Friday. Jaxon Jelkin threw 5.1 innings and picked up his fourth win of the season. Owen Jenkins hit his first collegiate home run. In the team’s 8-7 win on Saturday, Hudson Brown hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning. Nate Harris tossed six no-hit innings in the team’s 6-4 victory on Sunday to sweep the series.

🔼 Gold Medal. The rifle team competed at the NCAA Championships. On Friday, Braden Peiser won the smallbore section. He had a final score of 596. As a team the Cats scored 2353 for fifth place. On Saturday, Kentucky competed in air rifle. Liz Probst led the team with a score of 598. The Cats finished in fourth with a team score of 4736.

🔼 Wrapped Up. The swim and dive team finished competing at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship. On Friday, Fernanda De Goeij qualified for the NCAA Championship. She will participate in the 400 IM this weekend. On Saturday, the women’s team took home the CSCAA National Invitational Championship. Katy Jost swam for third in the 1650 free.

🔼 Court Report. The men’s tennis team beat No. 18 Auburn on Sunday. The men won 5-2. The Cats claimed the doubles point and four of six singles courts, clinching the victory with two courts to spare. Kentucky put its resilience on display, with all four singles victories coming in three sets, including three of the comeback variety.

🔼 Top 10. The women’s golf team finished in third place at the Valspar Augusta Invitational on Sunday. Kentucky had a team score of 896 (+5). Cathryn Brown and C.A. Carter tied for eighth place individually.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Tourney Time. The men’s and women’s basketball teams are competing in the NCAA Tournament. This is the second straight season the women’s program has been selected.

This marks the ## time the men have been selected in program history.

🔼 On Track. The track and field team competed in the NCAA Indoor Championships. On day one, three Wildcats qualified for their respective finals. Emmi Scales finished fifth in the 60m hurdles. On day two, Kemarah Howard finished the high jump in 13th place. Theo Mudzengerere continued his historic senior season with a sixth-place finish in the men’s triple jump final
