🔼 Home Win. The men’s basketball team beat Mississippi State 92-68 on Saturday. Otega Oweh led the team with 22 points. Freshman Malachi Moreno was right behind with 17 points. He is the third UK player since 1996-97 with 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Rajon Rondo previously made those states. The Cats shot 55.2% froth field and 40.9% from the three-point line.
🔼 UPSET! The No. 6 women’s basketball team beat No. 5 Oklahoma 63-57 on Sunday at home. This is the first time the Cats have defeated two top-five teams in the country in one season. Tonie Morgan led the team with 22 points. Clara Strack recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
🔼 Season Opener. The No. 9 gymnastics team opened its season at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad. Anna Flynn Cashion won on the vault. Delaynee Rodriguez claimed the all-around victory. This marked Cashion’s second collegiate win and Rodriguez’s fifth career win. Overall, Kentucky placed fourth with a score of 194.925.

Victory! The swim and dive team beat Notre Dame on Friday. The men’s team picked up a second win against the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, but the women fell 180-120.
The men beat Missouri 168.50-###.##.

🔵 ONE BIG THING
First Meet. The track and field team competed in the Rod McCravy Memorial Invitational this past weekend. The Wildcats totaled eight event wins on day one. Vanice Kerubo Nyagisera and Patrick Faust broke the Kentucky school record in the men’s and women’s 600m events. On day two, the Cats won six events. Emmi Scales and Anthony Waterman completed a Big Blue sweep in the women’s and men’s 60m hurdles finals.
