📈 STOCK UP

🔼 NCAA Win. The women’s soccer team beat West Virginia 4-2 in penalty kicks in the NCAA Tournament. This is the program’s first tournament victory since 2014. Maddie Kemp scored in the second half to tie the game 1-1. The Cats won the shootout 4-2, with goals coming from Makala Woods, Michelle Moskau, Grace Hoytink and Sophia Mattice. The women take on No. 4 Notre Dame on Friday.

🔼 Huge Dub. The football team beat Murray State 48-6. Jamarion Wilcox rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown. The Cats had 581 yards of total offense. The defense held the Racers without a touchdown in the contest. Hardley Gilmore, Demie Sumo-Karngbaye, Ja’Mori Maclin, Wilcox and Anthony Brown-Stephens reached the end zone.

🔼 Rivalry Win! The women’s basketball team beat No. 18 Louisville 71-61 in overtime. Georgia Amoore led the team with 19 points. Teonni Key had a career-high 17 points. The team shot 46.6% from the field goal.

🔼 Highest Score. The rifle team posted its highest score at home this season as they beat Army and Murray State 4740-4677-4717. The Cats had 321 centers. Sofia Ceccarello had an impressive 1190 aggregate score.

🔼 Record Broken. The volleyball team beat Georgia 3-1, and Brooklyn DeLeye set the school record for the most kills in a four-set match. DeLeye recorded 30 kills on 69 swings. She is the second player in Kentucky history to record a 30-kill match in a match of any duration.

The women’s soccer team punched their ticket to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for just the #th time in program history.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Advancing. The cross country team competed in the NCAA Southeast Regional. Collins Kiprop Kipngok finished fourth in the 10k and punched his ticket to the NCAA Division I National Championships. He is the first Cat to advance to nationals since 2016. Overall, the men finished 10th. The women finished 13th, with Ally Kruger leading the way with a 21:27.9 6k time.
