🔼 Welcome! Women’s head basketball coach Kenny Brooks announced the addition of Lindsey Hicks to be associate head coach. Also coming to the Cats is Radvile Autukaite as an assistant coach and recruiting director. Hicks recently was the associate head coach at Virginia Tech. Autukaite was recently the assistant coach at Virginia Tech.

🔼 Victory! The baseball team faced Auburn on Thursday night and won 6-5. The game was tied 4-4 after the fourth inning, and Ryan Nicholson got the Cats in the lead with a two-run homer. Nicholson went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate and had three RBIs. Travis Smith picked up the win on the mound, but Johnny Hummel had a tremendous save to propel the team to a series-opening win.

Tee Off. The women’s golf team begins the 2024 SEC Championship competition today! Five golfers will compete, including one who is leading the team this season with a 71.1 scoring average.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Community Service. The UK tennis program had two athletes named to the SEC Community Service Team. Ellie Eades on women’s tennis earned the honor for the second consecutive year. She has nearly 40 hours of service this academic year. Tate Sandman on the men’s tennis team earned the honor for a third consecutive year. Sandman has been working closely with the Surgical Associates of Lexington and has amassed 20 hours of volunteer work.
