๐ผ 7 Days Laterโฆ We still have Wildcats competing in the U.S. Olympic Trials! Hereโs the rundown on days five through seven.
Day Five: Four athletes earned automatic qualifiers: Sydney McLaughlin in womenโs 400m hurdles, Daniel Roberts in the 110m hurdles, Abby Steiner in the 200m and Andrew Evans in the discus throw. Devynne Charlton punched her ticket to Paris in the 100m hurdles.
Day Six: Roberts is going to Paris in the 110m hurdles. Masai Russell and Keni Harrison earned automatic qualifiers in the 100m hurdles. Steiner placed fourth in the 200m and will compete in the finals on day seven.
Day Seven: Evans is going to Paris on the discus throw team. McLaughlin advances to the semifinals in the 400m hurdles. Russell and Harrison also advance to the finals in the 100m hurdles.
Day Eight: Russell and McLaughlin collected gold in the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles to punch their ticket to Paris. McLaughlin set a new world record with a 50.56 in the 400m hurdles.

Welcome! The softball team announces the signing of pitcher Sarah Haendiges. Haendiges recently played at Oregon State University from 2022-24. She was a part of the Beaversโ Womenโs College World Series run in 2022. Last season, Haendiges threw over 100 innings, logging eight wins in 30 appearances.
