🔼 Still Advancing. After two days of the U.S. Olympic Trials, three Wildcats advanced. Kentucky started with 19 competitors, and after day one, nine advanced. Following day two, only three athletes advanced— Charity Hufnagel, Alexis Holmes and Ronnie Baker. Hufnagel punched her ticket to the women’s high jump final after three perfect jumps. Baker is set to run in the 100m semifinals. Holmes was an automatic qualifier in the 400m semifinals.

On day three, Holmes punched her ticket to Paris! Holmes finished the 400m with a personal-best time of 49.78 for a third-place finish. Keaton Daniel was so close to going to Paris but finished in fourth place in pole vault.

More Honors. Outfielder Ryan Waldschmidt gained another award this season— Third Team All-American by Baseball America. Waldschmidt finished the season batting .333 in 59 games with 66 runs, 17 doubles, 14 home runs, 46 RBIs and 25 stolen bases.
