📈 STOCK UP

🔼 New Fad. Kentucky apparel at the stores on campus and around town has pretty good items, but you can step up your fashion to the next level. October’s Very Own has partnered with NCAA Colleges on a limited edition collection. Items will be available tomorrow! Also, in basketball news, the team just had its first practice of the season. Head coach John Calipari had some new drills and wanted the team to be uncomfortable and focused.

🔼 Strike the Match. The men’s golf team took on two different games of golf this week at the SEC Match Play Championships. First, the team competed in stroke play and finished in 13th place. Alex Goff had his third straight under-par round of the tournament and tied for sixth overall.

Next was match play, and the team was so close to defeating the University of South Carolina. Campbell Kremer won up by one, and Alex Goff won five and four. On the opposite end, Jansen Preston was defeated five and four. Solomon Petrie and Michael Hake had skilled shots, but unfortunately, each lost by one.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Miss You Already. Former Kentucky women’s golf head coach, Bettie Lou Evans passed away on Tuesday this week. Evans was the golf coach from 1979-2001 and then served as the Director of Golf Operations for the men’s and women’s programs for the next 17 years. She left her legacy at UK after leading her teams to postseason play 14 times, which included five trips to the NCAA Championships.
