📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Season Opening Records. The track and field team opened the outdoor season at the USF Alumni Invitational and already broke a record. Kate Powers broke the freshman record for women’s hammer throw on her very first attempt. She threw a mark of 194’6”/59.30m. On day one, the team won four events and had 22 top-10 finishes. On day two, the Cats won three events and had 19 top-10 finishes.

🔼 First Win. The women’s tennis team won its first SEC match against Mississippi State. The Cats won 4-2, going 3 for 3 in doubles and 3-2 in singles.

🔼 Split Weekend. The stunt team went 1-1 this weekend as they beat Central Arkansas 21-1 and fell to California Baptist 23-5. The team is now 11-5 overall.

🔼 Finals Performance. The swim and dive team wrapped up the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships. Kristy Pfaff and Claire McDaniels made it to the 1-meter women’s finals, where they finished 18th and 16th. Samuel Duncan moved to the championship round in the men’s 3-meter and finished 13th.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Practice Begins. The football team is starting spring practice today. The Cats will practice on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays up until the Spring Game.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Doing It Again. The men’s golf team competed at the Schenkel Invitational and finished in 10th place. Alex Goff tied for seventh place overall, hitting 7-under. This was his lowest score relative to par this spring and his sixth top-10 finish of the season.
