πΌ Hall of Fame. Former Kentucky football player Randall Cobb has been named to the 2027 ballot for consideration for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. Cobb was a three-year letter winner for the Wildcats from 2008-10. He was named first-team All-America as a junior and first-team All-Southeastern Conference as a sophomore and junior after setting the SEC single-season record for all-purpose yardage (2,396 yards in 2010) and the UK career record for touchdowns (37). As a freshman in 2008, he was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team after accounting for 11 touchdowns β two passing, two receiving and seven rushing.
Triple Threat. Randall Cobb was the only FBS player to rank first or second on a team in rushing, passing and receiving.

πΌ New Things. During the annual SEC Sports Medicine Meeting, the league announced a new honor, the Jim Madaleno Educational Excellence Award. Madaleno, UKβs Director of Sports Medicine and Performance, retired last year after 28 years of service to Wildcat student-athletes and the development of numerous athletics trainers who now work for collegiate and professional sports programs.
