📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Mustache Magic. The Southeastern Conference named Nick Lopez to the All-SEC First Team. Lopez finished with a .380 batting average and a 1.053 OPS in 48 games. He was Kentucky’s primary designated hitter and saw some play time at first and third base. He scored 52 runs, had 70 hits, six home runs and 47 RBIs.

🔼 Season Finale. Three men’s tennis players competed in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships this past week. Taha Baadi made it all the way to the round of 32 but fell to No. 5 seed Micah Braswell from Texas. Joshua Lapadat and JJ Mercer competed in the doubles round of 32 and fell to a duo from Princeton.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Honor #2. The SEC also named Ryan Waldschmidt to a postseason honor. Waldschmidt was selected to the All-SEC Second Team. He batted .405 in conference play. Overall, he hit .370 with a 1.153 OPS, 59 runs, 11 home runs and 39 RBIs. Not to mention, he did all of this after recovering from an ACL tear in the summer of 2023.
