🔼 In Town. Four men’s tennis players are competing in the 2025 Lexington Open at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex. Antoine Ghibaudo, Matt Rankin, Eli Stephenson, and Jaden Weekes started playing on Sunday and will continue to compete through Aug. 3. Five women’s tennis players are also competing at the event— Marina Fuduric, Zoe Hammond, Asuncion Jadue, Ellie Meyers, and Reese Sager.

Award in Return. Wide receiver and kick returner Derek Abney has been named the kickoff/punt returner on the SEC Quarter Century Team. Abney finished his career at Kentucky (2000-03), breaking or tying seven NCAA records and 11 Southeastern Conference records. The Quarter Century Team covers the 2000-24 football seasons.
