📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Champions! The men’s tennis team beat No. 38 Georgia 4-1 and No. 6 Tennessee 4-3 in its last two matches before the SEC Tournament. The men won the doubles point against Georgia and three singles matches. The Cats won the doubles point against Tennessee and three singles matches. The men finish the regular season 21-2 overall and 12-0 in conference play. The men claimed the program’s third regular season SEC title for the first time since 2012.

🔼 Series Sweep. The baseball team swept Auburn 3-0 in this past weekend’s series. The Cats won 6-5, 9-1 and 13-8. Ryan Nicholson hit a 444-foot home run to win game one. The Cats were launching balls over the wall in game two. The team had six home runs by five different players. Nick Lopez blasted two home runs in game three to help the Cats come back from a seven-run deficit and win.

🔼 Series Win. The softball team faced No. 7 Georgia and came out with a strong 7-5 win to start the series. Taylor Ebbs went 3-for-4 at the plate, and Stephanie Schoonover won her second-straight SEC game. The Cats dropped game two 6-4. The women bounced back in game three and won 6-2, thanks to Schoonover throwing her third straight complete game. She only allowed two runs and nine hits and struck out nine batters.

🔼 Championship Review. The women’s golf team competed in the SEC Women’s Golf Championship and finished in fifth place. The Cats scored 852 (+13). The women turned in the lowest round of any team on the golf course all week, which was 275 (-5) in the final round on Sunday. The team advanced to the match-play quarterfinals against Mississippi State for the first time since the inception of the NCAA Championship format six seasons ago. The Cats won one match play and tied another, but it was not enough to continue in the Championships.

🔼 Final Competitions. The stunt team competed at the 2024 Division I Stunt Championship and beat UT Martin 24-0 and 23-2. The Cats lost to California Baptist 8-23 and 10-21.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Record Breaking. Luke Brown improved his triple jump record this past weekend at a distance of 54’1.” This length moved him up in the NCAA rankings.

Back-to-Back. The track and field team competed at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational this past weekend. On day one, Keaton Daniel won in pole vault, clearing a season-best 18’7.25.” On day two, Luke Brown improved his triple jump record for the second straight meet. His record is now 54’1.”
