Today, we're looking at the women's soccer team getting ranked in the top 25.

🔵 The Official Daily Newsletter For Kentucky Athletics

Good morning. Everything is adding up this weekend, with football having a game on Saturday, Oct. 7, and National Play Outside Day being on Oct. 7. Don’t forget to get outside between binging college football games.

What else are we mixing into today’s Brew?

⚽️ Tie against Tennessee
⚾️ Fall exhibition game
🔵 And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Keeping it Close. The women’s soccer team faced Tennessee and ended in a 1-1 tie. Kentucky took the lead in the second half when Úlfa Úlfarsdóttir scored with a shot to the top of the goal. Tennessee was able to come back and tie the game shortly after and had a chance to win, but Marz Josephson had an incredible save to hold back the Vols. The Wildcats remain undefeated with a 7-0-5 record.

🔼 Diamond Cut. The Kentucky baseball team is still all polished up and shining after making it to the Super Regionals last season. Now, the boys are back on the diamond to play a fall exhibition game against Michigan. The teams will face off on Sunday, Oct. 8, at Prasco Park in Ohio. There’s no broadcast coverage as of now, but don’t worry. The Cats are back home on Oct. 29 to face Morehead State.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Add Another. Volleyball has a match tonight against Missouri, so let's see how we size up going into the match. Kentucky has faced Missouri every season since 2013. We also have a pretty long win streak against them.

Today’s question—when did Kentucky volleyball’s win streak against Missouri start?

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Moving Up. What a season the women’s soccer team is having! The team’s stellar performance has grasped the No. 18 ranking in the top 25 picks from the United Soccer Coaches for the first time since 2015. The women were also selected as NCAA Soccer’s Team of the Week.

Kentucky’s win over No. 9 Alabama is what really impressed the NCAA. It was the first time the Cats have taken down a top-10 team since 2014 against No.5 ranked Florida. The women also were ranked No. 23 by Top Drawer Soccer and No. 16 by College Soccer News.
